A household was assaulted allegedly by 21 individuals in Pune district after it requested them to not play loud music in the course of the Ganpati idol immersion procession as a result of loss of life of a relative, police mentioned on Friday.
The incident occurred in Ganesh Nagar close to Somathane Phata in Pimpri Chinchwad on Sunday, an official mentioned.
“All 21 individuals have been arrested in reference to the assault. Complainant Sunil Shinde’s son had died not too long ago. When the immersion processed handed by their dwelling, he requested them to not play loud music because the household was grieving,” he mentioned.
